Waterside Holiday Group Olympic Price Promise

(PRWEB UK) 1 December 2011

Management at the Group, which has three parks overlooking the Olympic sailing waters of Portland Harbour – Waterside Holiday Park & Spa, Chesil Vista Holiday Park and Osmington Holiday Park – have deliberately chosen not to inflate prices during this period because they believe that this would penalise regular guests as well as those who wish to visit the area during the Olympic sailing events.

Waterside will also be giving priority to guests who have stayed at the park’s before, and is offering the chance to secure 2011 prices for as 2012 holiday if a booking is made before Christmas. Repeat bookings are key to the success of the company with, typically, three quarters of guests who holiday at Waterside’s three parks having stayed there before.

Graham Frampton, Managing Director of Waterside Holiday Group, said: “We recognise that there is great demand for quality accommodation in convenient locations around Weymouth coinciding with the Olympic sailing events, and we offer this at our parks. The decision to retain our normal pricing structure during the Olympics is in line with our customer-service ethos. We want to encourage visitors to enjoy the Olympics with us if they wish, and to ensure it is a positive experience coming to Weymouth at what is an exciting but extremely busy time for all!”

Waterside Holiday Park is located on the beach at Bowleaze Cove and has its own slipway into Weymouth Bay. Chesil Vista Holiday Park is the closest park to the venue, overlooking the National Sailing Academy, the base of all the sailing action. Both parks are served by public transport to facilitate getting around during the Games.

The news has been well received by existing Waterside customers. Comments on the Waterside Facebook page in reaction to the news have included, “I’m impressed and have already booked! At least some companies that don’t get tangled into the Olympic greed.”, and, “That is good customer service.”

Great post! I?m just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case
